My First Post

I started this blog to express my opinion, which by the way is something that is not encouraged by this "pc society", among other things. I want it to be a glimpse into where I am right now in all respects. Not really sure what I was going to post as my first, but I've had this since 11/08 and haven't yet posted anything.........pathetic, or procrastinator, not sure which. I have hit many milestones in my life this year. I turned 40, been married for 20 years, had my daughter turn 18 and start college and my son is 14 and started HS. Life goes by very quickly if you're not careful. I look back at my 18 year old self heading off to college and don't wonder a bit how I would advise that girl differently, if I could. What pitfalls to stay away from, how to be a better parent, better wife, better employee, etc. That is the nature of reflection, the could of's, not the would of's! Well, enough reflection, and on to the "glimpse". I am truly trying to walk with the Lord. I hate that there are so many people that are turned off by Christians. I guess the best argument as to why I shouldn't be a Christian is Christians themselves. Sad, but many people miss the mark entirely. The one who should be our example is Christ and Him alone. It is something I have struggled with in the past. I had to get to a point in my relationship with Him that I see past the judgements and bologne that some church folks like to tote as "Christianity". That is a blog for another day! I am excited to see what the rest of the year brings and how God moves in my life, my husband's life and the lives of my children. It is not a project that has an ending. It is an ongoing work that is never finished. I look forward to the work!!
